About the Role

Providing palliative pediatric care for children, adolescents, and young adults with life-threatening and life-shortening illnesses. Guiding and advising relatives on managing individual disease progression and coordinating care. Participating in quality circles, thematic working groups, and further training.

Responsibilities

  • Palliativmedizinische pädiatrische Grundversorgung von lebens-bedrohlich und lebensverkürzt erkrankten Kindern, Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen
  • Anleitung und Beratung der Zugehörigen im Umgang mit den Besonderheiten des individuellen Krankheitsverlaufes sowie der Versorgungskoordination
  • Mitwirkung in Qualitätszirkeln, thematischen Arbeitsgruppen und Fortbildung

Requirements

  • Completed specialist training in pediatrics
  • Additional qualification in palliative medicine
  • Several years of prior experience in the care of children and adolescents with life-shortening illnesses
  • Prior experience in intensive care medicine and neuropediatrics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High sense of responsibility and social competence
