About the Role

As a Java Backend Developer, you will join a Scrum team focused on enhancing and optimizing the logistics backend to ensure smooth operation of our delivery fleet, connecting millions of customers with partners globally.

Responsibilities

• Build systems and algorithms used by drivers across our markets.
• Work with important logistical challenges, including routing, optimizations, and simulation.
• Help improve development practices within the backend community.
• Boost expertise in topics like Continuous Integration, Microservices, DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, Message-driven and event-driven APIs, and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with team members through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Java Developer.
• Experience writing Microservices.
• Familiarity with Spring, Kafka or similar, and SQL/NoSQL.
• Adherence to Clean Code principles.
• Interest in Reactive Programming, Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, and Message-driven and event-driven APIs.
• Basic knowledge of continuous deployment using Kubernetes or similar platforms.
• Strong interest in algorithms and optimization techniques.
• Enjoy collaborating in a team environment.
