About the Role

Joseph Gallagher Limited, a leading construction company, is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Ops. As a General operative you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects and ensuring their successful completion. If you possess a CSCS card and are motivated to work hard, we invite you to apply and become a valuable part of our dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities

Assist with various tasks on construction sites, including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
Provide support to skilled tradespeople by fetching tools and materials.
Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, removing obstacles, and setting up equipment.
Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Assist with general site maintenance and upkeep.

Requirements

Valid CSCS card is essential.
Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
Health and safety awareness.
Excellent time management skills.
Good communication skills.
