About the Role
Support existing sites in implementing the company-wide health and safety strategy, ensuring legal compliance and high safety standards. Act as a focal point of expertise to coach and mentor staff while contributing to the national strategy and supporting the onboarding of new sites.
Responsibilities
- Support branches with health and safety compliance
- Promote a proactive safety culture
- Ensure health and safety standards are met on-site
- Investigate accidents and write reports
- Identify potential hazards
- Advise branches on statutory requirements
- Complete risk assessments and site inspections
- Suggest improvements to working processes
- Prepare safe operating procedures
- Ensure staff understand safety procedures
- Check equipment for safety
- Compile statistics for reports and presentations
- Develop and review HSE policies and procedures
- Advise and train staff on best working practices
- Liaise with enforcing authorities
- Monitor environmental impacts and legislative compliance
Requirements
- Minimum NEBOSH Certificate
- IOSH membership
- Minimum 3 years of health and safety experience
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to build strong working relationships
