About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse to support a 6-year-old child in their home with complex clinical needs, working alongside the child and their sibling. This role involves building trust with the child and family, delivering high-quality, nurse-led care including TPN via central line, gastrostomy care, and medication management. You will ensure the children's safety, comfort, and development through consistent, person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Support a 6-year-old child in their home with complex clinical needs.
- Work alongside the child and their younger sibling.
- Build a trusting relationship with the child and their family.
- Deliver high-quality, nurse-led care.
- Administer TPN via central line.
- Perform gastrostomy care.
- Manage medication.
- Ensure the children's safety, comfort, and development.
- Provide consistent, person-centred care in a home environment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse Diploma/Degree with an up-to-date NMC Pin.
- 3 years of experience as a fully qualified paediatric nurse.
- A background in Complex Care Nursing.
- Commitment to providing the best possible care for the client.
- Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, caring, and compassionate.
- Previous and recent paediatric complex nurse experience is essential.
- Experience with TPN is essential for this role.
