About the Role
As a data engineer, you will help our development team with (re)building our data infrastructure, which will serve as the single source of trust for advanced analytics, AI integrations, reporting, and BI. The Data & AI team is growing and currently consists of eight members.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core data models, ensuring resilience as source systems and business definitions evolve.
- Develop and operate reliable ELT/ETL pipelines on Azure and Databricks stack.
- Shape the data architecture collaboratively with the team.
- Embed data governance in practice, including lineage, quality, and clear business ownership.
- Mentor junior/medior peers.
Requirements
- 4+ years in data engineering with demonstrable ownership of end-to-end pipelines from design through production.
- Strong SQL experience.
- Strong data modeling skills.
- Proficient in Python for data engineering (orchestration, transformation, testing).
- Solid experience on a major cloud platform, Azure preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and ADF or equivalent.
- Working grasp of data governance in practice: lineage, quality, and clear ownership.
- Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
- Comfortable working in a scrum team.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs into data products or pipelines.
- Fluent English (Dutch is a plus).

Salary/Compensations
- €4.500-€5.900 per month based on a 36-hour workweek
