About the Role

HP is seeking a Data Scientist in R&D Singapore to analyze customer data, apply advanced analytics and AI techniques, build AI-powered solutions, and develop predictive models to drive product innovation and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer usage, telemetry, and operational data to uncover insights that drive product innovation, customer experience improvements, and business growth.
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI techniques to solve complex business and engineering challenges.
  • Build AI-powered analytics solutions, intelligent assistants, and data-driven applications leveraging modern AI technologies.
  • Design, develop, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models that generate measurable business value.
  • Design and optimize data collection, transformation, and analytics pipelines to support scalable and reliable decision making.
  • Review data architecture, data models, and governance processes to ensure data quality, compliance, and trusted insights.
  • Develop compelling visualizations, dashboards, and storytelling approaches to communicate insights and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product management, and business teams to identify opportunities where data and AI can create competitive advantages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Typically 2–4 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques to solve real-world business problems.
  • Experience developing analytics applications, AI solutions, or Generative AI use cases is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, or AI agent frameworks is an advantage.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data and modern data engineering methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics and AI platforms such as Azure AI, Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and influence decisions across technical and management audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
