About the Role
Corpay is seeking an EDD Analyst for its Alpha Group division, focusing on Cross-Border payments solutions. This role is crucial for protecting the organization from money laundering and financial crime risks by conducting enhanced due diligence on high-risk clients and complex scenarios. You will assess risk mitigation, investigate escalated factors, and ensure regulatory compliance, reporting to the Head of EDD Compliance and collaborating with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of high-risk client accounts, evaluating financial crime risks, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle complex EDD cases and assess escalations from the First Line, further escalating matters where required.
- Investigate adverse media, politically exposed persons (PEPs), state-owned enterprises (SOEs), risk appetite concerns, policy exceptions, and AML-related matters.
- Apply technical compliance knowledge to provide EDD guidance to First Line, Client Service, and Sales teams on complex and high-risk scenarios.
- Independently contribute to developing and enhancing compliance processes, procedures, and the wider compliance framework.
- Conduct detailed analysis of alternative investment structures and assess complex client types, including corporate entities, trusts, funds, and SPVs.
- Ensure all activities meet the highest quality standards and adhere to internal policies while continuously improving individual performance.
- Master compliance platforms and systems to support efficient departmental workflows.
- Respond promptly and effectively to compliance-related queries from multiple business units.
- Deliver EDD training sessions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify efficiency improvements, raise process enhancement opportunities, and support the implementation of change initiatives.
- Support the training, mentoring, and upskilling of the wider Compliance team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, financial crime regulations, and Enhanced Due Diligence practices.
- Experience investigating high-risk client scenarios, including PEPs, adverse media, SOEs, policy exceptions, and complex ownership structures.
- Experience assessing corporate entities, trusts, funds, SPVs, and alternative investment structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to perform effectively within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
