About the Role

Join SDN Surry Hills as a Certificate III qualified Educator to make a meaningful difference in children's lives. You will work across all rooms, broaden your experience alongside a supportive team, and deliver SDN’s innovative, high-quality, and inclusive program. Create engaging learning experiences, build strong relationships with children and families, and provide the care and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating and supporting children based on their interests
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's developmental needs
  • Supporting routines that promote flexibility, trust, security, smooth transitions, and wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families

Requirements

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with full working rights
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role (6-12 months essential)
  • Understanding of Child Protection legislation
  • Holds an approved Current Child Protection Training qualification
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid qualification
