About the Role
As the largest sports club in Berlin with over 72,000 members, 1. FC Union Berlin e.V. is seeking a Deputy Security Officer Professional Football and Video Operator (m/f/d) to manage challenges in match operations and team security for professional men's and women's teams, youth and amateur operations, and the "Stadion An der Alten Försterei".
Responsibilities
- Deputize for the Professional Football Security Officer
- Participate in security management certification
- Assist in implementing DFB and DFL regulations
- Engage in networking within professional football for information and experience exchange
- Contribute to creating security assessments/risk assessments
- Be present at home games and provide security escort for away games
- Assist in implementing security meetings
- Participate in the implementation of the annual stadium inspection
- Actively contribute to matchday preparation and follow-up organization
- Assist in commissioning external security service providers
- Collaborate with external parties (authorities/associations/clubs/service providers)
- Collaborate with internal departments (match organization/fan support/stadium operations)
- Assist in concept and process development and their implementation
- Participate in emergency management
- Participate in quality management
- Administer video surveillance systems
- Perform video operations on match and event days
- Analyze video and image material
- Contribute to qualification and further training (for employees and oneself)
Requirements
- Recognized vocational or academic degree (e.g., in commercial, security, event, or sports management)
- Structured and independent work style
- Strong sense of responsibility combined with communication skills, assertiveness, and social competence
- Industry knowledge in security and events
- Proficiency in digital applications and MS Office
- Knowledge in concept and process development and their implementation
- High degree of flexibility in working hours (regular events on weekends and evenings, possibly holidays)
- Willingness to travel (e.g., for away game support, conferences, on-site appointments)
- Resilience to stress and pressure for effective situational action
- Good German language skills (written and spoken) and conversational English
- Valid driver's license Class B
