About the Role

Join our Engineering team as a Shift Engineer at The Hoxton, Charlottenburg, a hotel that offers 234 bedrooms, a restaurant, coffee bar, and The Apartment meeting concept. We are looking for someone with hands-on technical experience and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s technical operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Carry out minor repairs and troubleshoot technical issues across all hotel areas.
• Operate, maintain, and document all technical installations and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain safety and fire protection systems to meet regulatory standards.
• Perform painting, repair, and general maintenance tasks to preserve hotel facilities.
• Coordinate material and supply requirements with departments.
• Take ownership of the hotel’s technical infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in a relevant field (Electrical, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related trade).
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Electrician, or in a similar role is an advantage.
• Fluent in both German and English (any additional language is a plus).
• Solid technical knowledge and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and varying working hours.
• Confident in carrying out general maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• A proactive team player who can also work independently.
