About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Sydney Metro West Linewide Project. This role requires strong leadership experience with mechanical and communications systems within tunnel infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for delivering electrical, mechanical, and communications in-tunnel infrastructure, coordinating with other units and project teams.
- Plan, program, and drive works to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Deliver all works in line with project health, safety, environmental, quality, and sustainability requirements.
- Support the assurance, documentation, and handover of completed works.
- Resource and lead the delivery team, managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage the commercial and contractual performance of the scope.
- Engage effectively with designers, subcontractors, and other project parties.
- Report all contingencies within individual cost codes, allocating amounts to drive realistic forecasts.
- Resolve subcontract variations or claims, commenting on validity and strategy.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure constructive relationships and coordinate supervision and administration of payments and variations.
- Liaise with other contractors to drive successful solutions for JH across the Sydney Metro West alignment when interface issues arise.
Requirements
- Significant project management experience specific to Tunnel, Mechanical, and Communication systems.
- Proven experience with Fitout of Tunnel.
- Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams.
- Contemporary practices in design and construction methodology.
- Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations, and legislative compliance management.
- Advanced financial and commercial management, including cost reduction and meeting budgets.
- People and performance management, including the performance of subcontractors.
- Quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment.
- Analysis of and reporting on project performance, compliance, and defects/non-conformance.
