About the Role

The incumbent designs, deploys, and evaluates initiatives to support the professional integration of students and graduates. This role is central to employability support, developing relationships with employers and graduates, and structuring accessible, coherent services aligned with student experiential pathways. The position also contributes to the University's positioning in terms of employability and the development of an integrated ecosystem connecting students, graduates, and employers.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the structuring and continuous improvement of coherent, complementary employability services centered on the student experience.
  • Offer CV, cover letter, and online professional presence optimization clinics in collaboration with the Student Success Center (CRÉ).
  • Design and lead an annual programming of employability workshops (professional skills development, interview preparation) in collaboration with the CRÉ.
  • Collaborate with academic programs to integrate career development into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the internship coordination team to support student preparation for internship success.
  • Develop and update pedagogical resources in career development (guides, tools, online modules).
  • Offer structured support to students and graduating students in their transition to the job market.
  • Manage and optimize the careers section of the student portal, including job and internship postings not part of study programs.
  • Disseminate relevant information on labor market trends and professional opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of relationships with employers and external partners.
  • Actively participate in the planning and execution of employability-related events, such as job fairs organized by UOF and/or other French-language higher education institutions.
  • Design and implement initiatives to maintain and strengthen ties with graduates for professional integration and development, in collaboration with the philanthropic sector.
  • Collaborate on establishing graduate tracking mechanisms (employment, pathways, sectors).
  • Mobilize graduates and contribute to the development of an engaged community (mentoring, conferences, panels, networking).
  • Foster connections between graduates and employers.
  • Write and disseminate promotional content related to employability services (website, newsletter, campus digital screens).
  • Promote activities, resources, and opportunities to the student and graduate community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure message consistency and visibility.
  • Document activities and ensure rigorous follow-up of services offered.
  • Collect and analyze data (participation, satisfaction, professional integration).
  • Contribute to achieving employability-related performance indicators.
  • Formulate recommendations for continuous improvement of practices and services.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • University degree at the undergraduate level in a relevant field (guidance, human resources, education, administration, social sciences, or related field).
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in employability, career services, or professional support.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and educational content development.
  • Experience in a university setting or supporting young adults (significant asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships with employers and graduates.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional approach to student success.
  • Organizational and project management skills for multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proficiency in digital tools related to career development or user engagement (asset).
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written.
  • Sensitivity to the realities of students in a minority French-speaking context and commitment to inclusive practices.
