About the Role
The Digital Marketing and Web Platforms Advisor contributes expert knowledge to the development, deployment, and optimization of the University of Ontario français's digital presence. This role manages the operational and strategic aspects of web platforms, orchestrates digital marketing campaigns, oversees visual content creation, and drives digital performance analysis. The advisor acts as a digital marketing expert within the UOF, actively contributing to the university's outreach, visibility, and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deploy digital marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms) aligned with UOF's recruitment and awareness objectives.
- Participate in the development of digital recruitment and awareness strategies, proposing continuous improvement and optimization strategies.
- Optimize campaigns based on performance results and industry best practices.
- Manage and track digital advertising budgets.
- Actively monitor digital marketing trends and best practices, proposing innovative ideas to the team.
- Ensure functional administration of university websites and serve as a technical point of contact for various departments.
- Coordinate content updates with different departments, ensuring quality, consistency, accessibility (WCAG), and timeliness of published content.
- Participate in the continuous evolution of user experience (UX) and propose improvement and optimization solutions.
- Contribute to digital content governance and the development of related policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate interventions with the web provider and act as the primary liaison for resolving complex technical issues.
- Implement and monitor SEO recommendations from the specialized agency.
- Collaborate closely with the external agency to improve website natural referencing.
- Participate in content optimization for search engines and generative AI tools (GEO).
- Monitor changes in referencing practices and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Create and adapt digital visuals for specific team needs, including the website, digital campaigns, partnerships, sponsorships, and various communication platforms.
- Adapt content into various digital formats (ads, banners, social media, web pages, etc.), ensuring adherence to UOF's visual identity and graphic standards.
- Collaborate with other marketing and communications team members to ensure consistency in visual productions.
- Monitor digital performance indicators and produce dashboards using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and other analysis tools.
- Measure the performance of campaigns, websites, and digital content, providing in-depth analysis.
- Formulate strategic recommendations to improve results and support decision-making across departments.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing and Awareness Strategy Advisor and the Communications and Social Media Advisor to ensure consistency in digital strategies and campaigns.
- Act as a resource person and reference point for the web provider, SEO agency, and other specialized partners.
- Support and advise university departments in disseminating their digital content.
- Provide functional supervision and mentorship to less experienced colleagues or students supporting digital activities.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in marketing, communication, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in digital marketing, web platform management, and digital campaign deployment.
- Significant experience in digital graphic creation.
- Experience in functional supervision or mentoring colleagues is an asset.

- Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
- Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal, WordPress, or equivalent
- Graphic creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent)
- Natural referencing (SEO) and generative artificial intelligence referencing (GEO) principles
- Web accessibility (WCAG) notions
- Project management tools
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
