About the Role
This role involves implementing allied health programs designed by our team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. You will support clients to achieve their goals for health and wellbeing and to remain independent. This will involve facilitation and delivery of in home sessions as well as group programs.
Responsibilities
- Providing service delivery as per clients care plan within relevant Model of Care including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and other disciplines
- Facilitating and supporting in home and/or group activities & programs, eg- health and wellness exercise program
- Managing time effectively to ensure all services are delivered as outlined
- Supporting client goals through intervention outlined in Care Plan
- Developing & maintaining client motivation to live their best life
- Following the client’s lead to identify opportunities to further enhance quality of life and choices
- Capturing feedback from clients and reporting on progress towards client set goals
Requirements
- Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistance or 2 years of study in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Experience as an Allied Health Assistant desirable (but not essential)
- Previous experience working in aged or community services sector
- Ability to problem solve & offer solutions
- A passion for improving client's health, wellbeing and independence and an interest in exercise and health programs.
- Computer literacy, and efficiency in Microsoft Office
- Current NSW Driver’s licence and registered and insured motor vehicle
