About the Role

This role involves implementing allied health programs designed by physiotherapists and occupational therapists, supporting clients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals and remain independent through in-home and group sessions.

Responsibilities

• Providing service delivery as per clients care plan within relevant Model of Care including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and other disciplines
• Facilitating and supporting in home and/or group activities & programs, eg- health and wellness exercise program
• Managing time effectively to ensure all services are delivered as outlined
• Supporting client goals through intervention outlined in Care Plan
• Developing & maintaining client motivation to live their best life
• Following the client’s lead to identify opportunities to further enhance quality of life and choices
• Capturing feedback from clients and reporting on progress towards client set goals

Requirements

• Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistance or 2 years of study in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
• Experience as an Allied Health Assistant desirable (but not essential)
• Previous experience working in aged or community services sector
• Ability to problem solve & offer solutions
• A passion for improving client's health, wellbeing and independence and an interest in exercise and health programs.
• Computer literacy, and efficiency in Microsoft Office
• Current NSW Driver’s licence and registered and insured motor vehicle

• $39.00 per hour + superannuation + casual loading + superannuation + Salary Packaging + Km reimbursement
