About the Role
Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan is seeking an Information Technology Business Analyst to provide business application support across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on financial systems and operations. This in-house regional role, based in Tokyo, will bridge business and IT to deliver process improvement solutions, support project implementation, and ensure a stable environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support of global and local business applications across the Asia Pacific region.
- Act as a finance/accounting subject matter expert, liaise with stakeholders to identify business, financial, and operational needs.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements and deliver solutions to streamline processes and operations.
- Translate business requirements and user needs into functional specifications.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design.
- Develop functional documentation and training materials, and conduct end-user training.
- Support all stages of project implementation, including testing, setup, upgrades, rollout, user training, and post-launch support.
- Participate in or lead local and global projects.
Requirements
- Degree holder of Business, Finance, Information Technology, or relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years or more experience in business analysis and IT, supporting financial systems in a complex enterprise environment.
- Qualified accountant with membership of a recognized professional accounting body (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of financial processes.
- Experience in financial operations and a demonstrated interest and aptitude in business systems.
- Experience with SAP (FI/CO) is preferable.
- Experience in the Entertainment / Motion Pictures industry would be a definite advantage.
- Must have the appropriate immigration permission to work and reside in Japan.
