About the Role

The Attorney Learning & Development Operations Specialist provides operational, project management, and administrative support for the Firm's Attorney Learning & Development function. This role supports attorney learning, professional development, and performance management initiatives by coordinating operations, maintaining resources, managing projects, budgets, and reporting, and improving the operational infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provides operational and project support to the Director of Attorney Learning & Development and ALDG leadership in executing departmental initiatives, strategic priorities, and special projects.
  • Collaborates with the Attorney Learning & Development team to improve processes and ensure consistent departmental practices.
  • Maintains Attorney Learning & Development content on MoFo Connect and other internal platforms.
  • Drafts department and firmwide communications related to Attorney Learning & Development programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinates onboarding for new Attorney Learning & Development team members.
  • Serves as a resource on Attorney Learning & Development programs, policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Assists with budget administration, including expense tracking, reporting, vendor invoicing, purchase requests, and payment processing.
  • Provides operational and administrative support for attorney and agent performance management processes, including associate evaluations, upward reviews, and income partner reviews.
  • Serves as the operational resource for evaluation technology platforms, including viEval, NPA Tracker, Workday, and related systems, partnering with Information Technology on enhancements, testing, documentation, and user support.
  • Serves as a point of contact for attorneys, partners, managers, and business professionals regarding evaluation processes, timelines, systems, and communications.
  • Maintains attorney evaluation data and reporting, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Supports the administration and continuous improvement of income partner check-in and evaluation processes.
  • Assists with administration of external attorney surveys in collaboration with Recruiting, We@MoFo, and Marketing, including participant communications, response tracking, and recognition activities.
  • Maintains Associate Committee rosters, distribution lists, and intranet content.
  • Coordinates committee membership updates, meeting schedules, communications, and logistics.
  • Assists with planning and execution of firmwide, regional, and off-site attorney learning programs and events.
  • Coordinates program communications, materials, registration, CLE administration, attendance tracking, evaluations, and post-program reporting.
  • Coordinates technology, conference rooms, audiovisual support, catering, travel, and other program logistics.
  • Partners with internal departments, external vendors, consultants, faculty, and presenters to support successful program delivery.
  • Serves as an operational resource during programs by responding to participant needs and troubleshooting issues.
  • Performs other learning program coordination and operational support responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five or more years of experience in learning and development, professional development, operations, project management, legal administration, or a related field; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, client service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the Firm.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
