About the Role

KPMG's Mid-Market & Private team supports clients in managing and planning for their continued business success and growth. The Tax Advisory team provides clients with insights into how business decisions are affected by tax legislation, aiding in planning for sustained success. We serve a diverse client base across various sectors, including private and listed businesses, high net worth individuals, family groups, startups, and multinational subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients, including family groups, trusts, partnerships, foreign subsidiaries, and mid-market companies.
  • Develop technical expertise across tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory services.
  • Manage client engagements, including client contact, presentations, and meetings with senior leaders.
  • Collaborate within the KPMG Enterprise group and with the advisory business to meet client needs.
  • Work with a Personal Development Manager on career growth and personal goals.
  • Develop skills across a broad range of tax issues or specialize in a chosen field.
  • Develop managerial skills by overseeing team members and encouraging their professional development.

Requirements

  • Experience in Tax, Accounting, or Business Services with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay updated on changes to taxation law and accounting standards.
  • Solid tax and accounting technical/systems capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for developing client relationships.
  • Client-centric approach with the ability to understand client businesses.
  • Passionate about communication to share ideas, inspire, and create change.
  • Ability to digest, distill, and communicate complex concepts in written and verbal forms.
  • Ability to oversee high-quality client-ready deliverables and present to senior leadership.
