About the Role
As a Technical Services Manager (TSM), you will support the Senior Technical Service Manager in all aspects of data centre operations, ensuring 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to plan, manage, and supervise maintenance activities, acting as the primary contact for customers regarding works planning, incident management, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and coordination of all preventive maintenance and repair works.
- Ensure adherence to change management and incident management procedures.
- Coordinate activities with customers.
- Coordinate with the Development team for construction activity and installations, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with site operating procedures (SOP, MOP, EOP) and legal documentation.
- Maintain compliance with site accreditations (ISMS, ISO, SOC2, PCI) and local regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for customers and the local point of escalation during emergencies and daily operations.
- Attend witness testing of all equipment during commissioning to validate operational sequences and receive documentation.
- Manage the provisioning of data centre services including connectivity, power, and deployment.
- Lead minor capital projects for customers or internal purposes.
- Supervise operational metrics, analyze data, and assess risks.
- Conduct regular property inspections.
- Participate in the 'on call' incident response roster.
Requirements
- 5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience in data centres (preferred), facilities, engineering operations, trades, or related fields.
- Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents, incident reports, emergency event summaries, root cause analysis reports, and O&M manuals.
- Experience running 3rd party service providers and negotiating quotes/pricing.
- Familiarity with Customer Portals, BMS, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Security NV1 Clearance.
- Excellent collaboration and strong communication skills in English.
- Exceptional flexibility, forward-thinking, and motivated by change.
- Effective customer management skills and meeting chair experience.
