About the Role
Nine is seeking an experienced Client Service Manager for its Food & Lifestyle Events team. This role involves leading strategic servicing, retention, and growth of high-value event partners, managing the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, and ensuring campaign execution with excellence and measurable ROI. The position offers the chance to build senior relationships, mentor a direct report, and enhance servicing standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key commercial partners to drive day-to-day relationship management and renewal strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Editorial, Marketing, Finance, and Event Producers to align creative and commercial deliverables.
- Oversee the execution of contracted sponsorship benefits, ensuring critical paths and timelines are strictly met.
- Deliver strategic, data-driven post-event reporting to track campaign performance and highlight clear commercial ROI.
- Provide direct line management, mentorship, and development planning for the Partnership Coordinator.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage risk to protect contracted campaign value and boost profitability.
- Proactively identify upselling pathways and incremental revenue opportunities within live projects.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or B2B sales within media, publishing, or ad-tech.
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed environment, taking full ownership of your portfolio.
- Confidence in leading external partners and providing clear direction.
- Strong ability to structure complex deals, negotiate contracts, and close agreements.
- Deep understanding of the current publishing landscape, digital monetisation models, and media consumption trends.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to measure ROI and inform decision-making.
- Exceptional pitching, presenting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Partners and help them navigate their assets and deliverables to realise a commercial objective.
- Ability to manage expectations and think ahead.
- Meticulous attention to detail in contracts, billing, performance reports, and campaign deliverables.
- High emotional intelligence to build trust-based relationships and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
- Must have the right to lawfully work and live in Australia.
