About the Role

Atoms is building Physical AI robots for industries like food, mining, and transport to make physical operations more reliable, scalable, and productive. This role involves hands-on operation and maintenance of SMT/PCBA equipment to support NPI builds and mass production in a high-mix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate SMT/PCBA equipment including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and X-ray.
  • Perform line changeovers and support NPI builds and mass production runs.
  • Verify component placement, orientation, and solder quality.
  • Perform first article inspection and document results.
  • Identify, document, and report defects and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with process and manufacturing engineers on DFM and process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following ESD and MSD practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of hands-on SMT/PCBA manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Juki and/or Hanwha (Samsung) equipment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and IPC standards.
  • IPC-A-610 certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-mix, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
