About the Role
As a Key Accounts - Application Engineer with the Asset Protection product line, you will collaborate with customers on technical requirements and work with Sales Representatives to present the technical aspects of our products. You will also work with Quality and Engineering departments to ensure products meet client specifications and quality standards. This role offers exposure to many facets of the business and opens many growth opportunities within a dynamic, diverse, and driven engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer technical assistance for product questions and problems from quotation request through post shipment and installation.
- Research and identify product solutions, initiating new product models and derivatives to meet customer needs.
- Support manufacturing by answering technical questions and troubleshooting order-related problems.
- Analyze product failures and customer concerns, assisting with customer quality concerns and generating required reports.
- Manage customer issues from occurrence to resolution.
- Oversee all commercial aspects of key accounts, including quoting, order status, returns, and invoicing.
- Travel at least 25% to support client-facing meetings and quarterly business reviews.
Requirements
- BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; additional work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Proven knowledge of Qualitrol products and customers.
- Experience with software and hardware implementation and solving sophisticated technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations.
- Oracle and Salesforce experience.
- Knowledge in telecom techniques for remote device monitoring: TCP/IP, modem protocols, serial links etc. (preferred).
- Knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution (preferred).
