About the Role

GDIT is looking for a Network Computer Support Technician in Rome, NY, who holds an active DoW Secret Clearance. This role involves Tier 1 maintenance of on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Terminate ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP).
• Report failures to the on-site government contract representative no later than the start of the next duty day.
• Coordinate system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS “Comm Focal Point (CFP)”.
• Monitor on-site and remote locations.
• Perform additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment.
• Perform a range of technical tasks and provide site support.
• Modify, move, and install a range of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
• Operations and maintenance of communications/computer systems and networks.
• Install communications/computer systems in accordance with the respective installation spec.
• Troubleshooting and support of communications systems/networks.
• End-user support and training on communications systems/networks.
• Administer network/cyber security policies and procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Identify customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Perform assigned additional duties (Vehicle Monitor, Local Records Maintenance, Site Safety representative, etc.) if/when selected.

Requirements

• Must have an active Secret Level security clearance.
• Must hold active CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II or DoW 8140 equivalent (i.e.: Security+CE) certification or higher.
• Must have AA/AS and 3+ year of experience; or equivalent.
• Must be onsite in Rome, NY.
• US Citizenship Required: Yes
