About the Role

BGIS is seeking qualified Electricians for a newly awarded, high-profile transport environment contract. This role is crucial for maintaining safe, reliable, and uninterrupted electrical services in a 24/7 operational setting, working as part of a supportive team to deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver preventative and corrective electrical maintenance across a range of assets and systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent faults within required response times
  • Work within a shift-based roster supporting 24/7 operations
  • Complete and update work orders accurately within CMMS systems
  • Support emergency response activities and ensure assets are made safe
  • Follow strict safety, compliance, and operational procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with trades, FM Hub, and operational teams to coordinate works
  • Contribute to identifying recurring issues and improving asset reliability

Requirements

  • Trade qualification as a licensed Electrician
  • Current electrical licence (NSW or equivalent)
  • Experience in maintenance within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of WHS, electrical standards, and compliance requirements
  • Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo or similar)
  • Ability to work shift work including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-visibility operational environments
  • Experience in aviation, transport, or critical infrastructure environments (Desirable)
  • Exposure to highly regulated operational sites (Desirable)
  • ASIC clearance (or ability to obtain) (Desirable)
  • Applicants must have full working rights in Australia
