About the Role
Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire hotel and ensures that housekeeping staff is well trained and supervised.
Responsibilities
- Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments.
- Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Conduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure new staff is certified.
- Monitor and ensure Housekeeping staff performs job functions to the hotel’s expected level of service.
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Public Attendants, Room Attendants and House person.
- Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
- Manage a team of Room Attendants, House Person, and Public Attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep of specific hotel areas.
- Be responsible for the smooth running and operation of the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.
- Deal efficiently with all Housekeeping personnel, including vendors.
- Schedule daily work, collect room and floor status sheets, and monitor Room Attendant progress.
- Inspect completed rooms to assure all standards have been met.
- Assign guest room master keys to staff, maintain accurate records, and ensure key security.
- Monitor House Person performance and ensure sufficient supplies on guest floors.
- Check cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and Linen Rooms.
- Inspect VIP rooms and ensure all amenities are correctly placed.
- Inspect all public and back of house areas regularly to maintain standards.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and working conditions of equipment and supplies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.
- Ensure all supplies are ordered with accurate usage factors and received in a timely manner.
Requirements
- College Education or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in Housekeeping.
