About the Role
Heirloom is a new coastal kitchen and dining space opening in July 2026, located within a retirement living community south of Sydney. It offers waterfront views and a Mediterranean-inspired menu, aiming to create memorable dining experiences for residents and the public. We are seeking a Kitchenhand to join our founding team and help maintain a welcoming and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, and food preparation areas
- Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient handling
- Safely store food and supplies in line with hygiene and HACCP standards
- Dispose of waste correctly and maintain cleanliness in waste areas
- Support your teammates and jump in wherever you’re needed
Requirements
- Previous kitchenhand, catering, or food services experience (or willingness to learn)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- A reliable, positive, and team-focused attitude
- The ability to work efficiently and stay calm during busy service times
- A genuine interest in food, teamwork, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Experience in café, restaurant, or aged care kitchen settings (desirable but not essential)
