About the Role
As a Senior Cloud (Data) Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, automate, and operate scalable, secure cloud data platforms, driving data-driven innovation and solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, automate, and operate scalable and secure cloud platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement container-based applications and services using Docker and Kubernetes while optimizing resources and ensuring stability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerts, and automated remediation to ensure platform performance and availability.
- Support clients in operating cloud data platforms, pipelines, and data-driven workloads to create measurable business value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, promote best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure automation, or similar roles.
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or other hyperscalers).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates), CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies (Docker & Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript, Go, C#).
- Experience with data platforms, data pipelines, or cloud-native solutions like Databricks or Snowflake.
- Effective collaboration skills in agile teams with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluency in German and English (minimum B2 level).
