About the Role

In this role, you will support clients in implementing their strategy with innovative technologies within Consulting – Technology Strategy and Transformation. Responsibilities

  • Take strategic overall responsibility for company-wide Lean transformations.
  • Manage complex transformation programs at the executive level.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams through demanding change processes.
  • Assume overall financial responsibility for transformation programs, from budget planning and business case creation to ensuring measurable benefit realization.
  • Shape sustainable operating model changes by strategically combining Lean methods and Kanban with scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
  • Establish organizational value stream and flow mechanisms.
  • Empower leadership teams to translate strategic goals into measurable performance improvements.
  • Lead complex Lean transformation programs throughout the entire lifecycle, including target picture development, roadmaps, Hoshin Kanri / Obeya integration, and ensure implementation leads to clearly quantifiable improvements.
  • Lead project and program teams (staffing, goal setting, development & coaching).
  • Take overall responsibility for budgets, business cases, benefit tracking, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure delivery excellence by managing milestones, quality mechanisms, KPIs, and risk and governance structures.
  • Anchor Value Stream Thinking, flow optimization, and Kaizen management systems in scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
  • Establish central Lean methods such as Daily Performance Management, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban, and Flow Design as central leadership and improvement systems for continuous process optimization.
  • Coach executives and product organizations in Lean Leadership, Change Excellence, and structured improvement processes (PDCA).
  • Lead demanding workshops/events (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause, FlowLab, Lean Portfolio Sessions, Problem Solving Events) from C-level to operational levels.
  • Strategically develop our Lean-Agile service portfolio (method modules, playbooks, templates).
  • Actively drive sales and acquisition activities.
  • Act as a mentor for colleagues.
  • Build communities of practice.
  • Publish best practices / impulses (Brown Bags, Whitepapers).

Requirements

  • Completed studies in Business Administration, (Business) Informatics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Organizational Psychology, or similar.
  • 8+ years of experience in Lean Management, with at least 5 years in leading and executing transformations/programs, ideally in a consulting context.
  • Proven team/employee leadership (professional and/or disciplinary) and comprehensive project management experience with responsibility for scope, time, and budget, including measurable improvements in process optimization, efficiency gains, and demonstrable savings potential.
  • Comprehensive expertise in strategic methods (including Hoshin Kanri, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Obeya, setting up Enterprise Kaizen Management Systems, Lean Transformation Governance) and methodological knowledge in Daily Performance Management, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban, or Flow Design.
  • Strong in executive and team coaching, change enablement, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Excellent moderation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Structured, outcome-oriented way of working.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proficient German and English language skills (at least C1).
