About the Role
The Curriculum Leader for English (CLE) will contribute to delivering excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and curriculum innovation within Kingston University International Study Centre. This role involves collaborative working with Study Group Network and Kingston University, leading on organizational elements to support student success, and assuring curriculum quality through innovative practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic management and oversight of delivery, including timetabling, assessment, and monitoring.
- Support and provide feedback to AES tutors, arranging staff cover as needed.
- Assist the Regional Head of English (RHEC) with staff appointments in AES.
- Represent the RHEC and Centre at internal and external meetings.
- Contribute to senior management meetings for strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Liaise with Student Outcomes teams to support students.
- Track and monitor AES student engagement and outcomes, implementing intervention strategies.
- Assure consistency of delivery and standards across AES provision.
- Share good practice and benefit from developments within the network.
- Contribute to annual review, academic development, and diversification of AES provision.
- Produce reports, analysis, and evaluation for scrutiny processes.
- Supervise consistency of delivery and standards in line with the Study Group LTA Strategy.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the RHEC.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Teaching experience within post-16 education, a UK pathway Centre, or higher education.
- Experience providing leadership with evidence of success.
- Experience providing feedback to others that achieved positive improvement.
- Ability to delegate activities, set deadlines, and oversee their completion.
- Experience working with international students and understanding their needs.
- Experience with data management, interpretation, and quality assurance.
- Experience leading, advising, or supporting curriculum development.
- Experience working within a Virtual Learning Environment.

Salary/Compensations
