About the Role
As Learning Architecture Director, AI Upskilling, you will be part of a rapid-response team focused on BCG's upskilling portfolio, holding shared standards and a common direction. You will own the firmwide architecture for building digital and AI capabilities, setting strategic direction, designing the system, and ensuring it connects with peer initiatives. You will work with senior leaders to translate global priorities into a scalable upskilling ecosystem with measurable business outcomes. Your mandate includes architecting the next generation of learning, such as adaptive learning experiences and AI-powered learning in the flow of work.
Responsibilities
- Own the firmwide architecture for building digital and AI capabilities across BCG.
- Set the strategic direction for your domain and design the system.
- Ensure the architecture connects with initiatives built by peers.
- Translate BCG's global priorities into a coherent, scalable upskilling ecosystem with measurable business outcomes.
- Architect the next generation of learning: adaptive learning experiences and AI-powered learning in the flow of work.
- Make architectural decisions about internal vs. external sourcing, piloting vs. scaling, and balancing speed with rigor.
- Track adoption, synthesize learner data and stakeholder signals, and use evidence to continuously sharpen the architecture.
- Pivot as priorities shift, share findings across the unit, and pick up collective work when the portfolio demands it.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in learning design, capability building, or transformation environments.
- Track record of delivering at scale in complex, global organisations.
- Experience working as a consultant is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to design and scale learning or upskilling initiatives end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and AI-powered learning platforms.
- Strong program and project management skills.
- Experience managing competing priorities and allocating effort across multiple workstreams in a matrixed environment.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership, shaping demand, influencing decisions, and driving adoption without relying on positional authority.
- High learning agility and genuine comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt message across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- An advanced degree in learning, organisational development, business, or a related field is preferred.
