About the Role
Switch2 is seeking a Commercial Heating Engineer to assist in developing a new business sector focused on renewable energy solutions for new build projects. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to grow the business.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day response and preventative planned maintenance of commercial heating systems.
- Provide out-of-hours on-call support on a structured rota basis.
- Response service fault diagnosis, repair, and renewal works.
- Planned preventative maintenance works.
- Maintenance and upkeep of plant room and associated equipment.
- Deliver tasks and operations in line with timeline targets and requirements.
- Self-manage daily activities using a structured hand-held system.
- Operate within agreed operational and supervisory guidelines.
- Maintain effective internal and external client or user relationships.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial & Domestic Gas Qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CCN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1) with a minimum of six months remaining before renewal.
- Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial gas appliances and associated plant.
- Experience with Building Management Systems and related products.
- Good technical understanding.
- Previous experience in a similar services industry.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Clear understanding of the need to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
