About the Role
The Ads Platform team at Netflix is building advanced technology for a world-class advertising ecosystem. This role focuses on architecting and building the intersection of advertising and finance systems, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless ledger integration.
Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable application layers and data pipelines that handle high-throughput ad serving/bidding data.
- Ensure absolute financial accuracy, strict regulatory compliance, and seamless ledger integration.
- Architect and build the intersection of advertising and finance systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building cloud-based applications with modern programming languages.
- Proven leadership at an L6/Staff/Principal level driving collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders from product, engineering, design, and Business.
- Experience delivering complex features with critical business impact.
- Expertise building and integrating large-scale Finance or Payment systems with deep knowledge of revenue integrity (ACID compliance, revenue recognition, invoicing, data reconciliation, and financial reporting).
- Thorough understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape (e.g., ad serving, bidding, programmatic environments, campaign management).
- Experience designing multi-tenant, API-first architectures and scalable microservices (REST, gRPC, Protobuf).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with demonstrated product sense and leadership in the working environment.
