About the Role
Agave is seeking a smart generalist to become an expert on their product and lead customer implementations. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn a complex B2B product, build customer relationships, drive sales growth, collaborate with engineers, and join a fast-growing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical demos and answer technical questions for prospects.
- Guide prospects through how Agave works and position the product within their systems.
- Own customer onboardings end-to-end, from sales handoff to full implementation.
- Configure Agave to meet specific customer needs and train users on product functionality.
- Create and maintain documentation for implementation best practices and FAQs.
- Build strong customer relationships and identify churn risks and upsell opportunities.
- Project manage customer implementations, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Create and share detailed implementation plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Troubleshoot issues, escalating to product and engineering teams as needed.
- Identify product feedback, requests, and weaknesses to inform the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with external partners to align onboarding timelines.
- Develop tooling, templates, and automation to scale onboarding processes.
- Standardize and improve onboarding processes for scalability.
- Create customer education materials to reduce manual effort.
- Define and improve internal tracking mechanisms and KPIs for customer onboarding.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience at a SaaS startup or a top consulting firm/elite company with interest in early-stage startups.
- Aptitude for structured troubleshooting and debugging software.
- Demonstrated skill in systems thinking, understanding data types, modules, constraints, and inter-dependencies.
- Ability in context-specific communication, providing clear updates tailored to different audiences.
- Elite project management and organization skills, capable of managing multiple customer implementations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high empathy, patience, and relatability.
- Ability to learn industry jargon and answer in-depth questions within 3 months.
- Ability to learn quickly through intensive training.
