About the Role
Agave is seeking its first design hire to shape the user experience of its platform. This role involves building a design system from scratch, designing multiple new products launching this year, and collaborating directly with leadership and engineering to enhance product usability.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product experience across all current and future products.
- Build the design system from the ground up, including tokens, components, and patterns.
- Design data-dense interfaces for complex workflows and large-scale data management.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and drive product improvements.
- Collaborate with cofounders and PMs on product strategy and development decisions.
Requirements
- A portfolio showcasing shipped B2B products with demonstrable outcomes.
- Proven ability in systems thinking and contributing to multi-product design systems.
- Experience designing complex, data-dense, workflow-heavy software.
- Strong design taste and the ability to articulate design decisions.
- High degree of ownership and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work in-person in San Francisco 5 days per week.
