About the Role

Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking Junior to Mid-Level Data Analysts to support a federal program focused on expanding artificial intelligence (AI) readiness across the United States. This role involves data analysis, performance reporting, stakeholder support, and operational analysis, working collaboratively with project teams and clients to ensure timely execution of deliverables and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of assigned responsibilities across multiple workstreams.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data to support project performance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain milestone tracking tools, performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), executive dashboards, and recurring reports.
  • Support implementation of technical assistance activities, Coordination Hub engagement, and Communities of Practice.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement activities, workshops, webinars, technical meetings, and collaborative working sessions.
  • Conduct operational analyses to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop reports, presentations, briefing materials, and other project documentation.
  • Maintain project records, shared resources, and knowledge management repositories.
  • Coordinate with project staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Support quality assurance activities for reports, data products, and project documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, public policy, engineering, computer science, information technology, data analytics, statistics, economics, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience supporting federal, state, university, nonprofit, or industry programs.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support program management and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and professional documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting project milestones and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
