About the Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while staying agile and reliable in daily interactions with guests, tenants, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or vendor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with crowd flow, opening and closing activities, and other security-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
