About the Role
Jabil is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Global Cloud Test Development (GCTD) team within the Cloud Enterprise and Infrastructure (CE&I) division. This role will lead complex, multi-disciplinary manufacturing test projects from start to finish, using technical expertise to solve problems in a large-scale production environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage risks and schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead test initiatives for a defined customer or user.
- Provide full accountability for project schedules, project management, and performance requirements for infrastructure, test development, and Framework level projects.
- Ensure all NPI (Infrastructure, Server, Rack, GCTD) test project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and translated for execution.
- Drive NPI (Server, Rack, GCTD) test project/program tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule.
- Support Infrastructure NRE planning, implementation, and coordinate with Factory teams.
- Collaborate end-to-end with customer from test requirements gathering through new product introduction factory acceptance.
- Review NPI Server, Rack, GCTD test project schedules with functional managers.
- Obtain and summarize current test project information and milestone status versus project performance baseline.
- Report NPI (SUT, RUT GCTD) test project status, issues, and implemented solutions, as well as evaluations and assessments of the results.
- Triage technical bugs and feature requests alongside engineering stakeholders for prioritization, resourcing, and tracking execution.
- Manage GCTD test resource capacity and time tracking allocated to NPI test projects.
- Accountable for overall NPI (Server (SUT), Rack, GCTD) test project success, including schedule, quality, and scope management.
- Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the test department and with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared.
- Coach others through difficult decision-making situations.
- Drive clear and consistent test project update messages for diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years work-related experience required in project management or related discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Jabil operating policies and procedures required.
- Ability to learn/acquire knowledge of Jabil’s culture and guiding principles.
- Must be adept at navigating the diversified landscape with respect to country cultures, company divisions, and internal hierarchies.
- Responsible for collaborating with employees in all Jabil facilities and job roles to achieve desired results.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 25%, may be required.
