About the Role
Lewisham Nursing Home is seeking casual PCA positions to assist residents with personal care, daily living activities, and support the clinical team. This role is crucial in providing respectful, high-quality care within a supportive community environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care needs such as showering and dressing
- Supporting daily living activities including mealtimes, mobility, and social engagement
- Working collaboratively with the clinical team to follow individual care plans
- Accurately documenting care and communicating effectively within the care team
- Providing respectful, high-quality support to residents, their families, and the wider community
Requirements
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
- Preference for PCAs who have completed medication-competency training
- A caring nature and genuine desire to support older people
- Friendly and confident when interacting with people from all walks of life
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, positive attitude and commitment to working safely
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Willingness to undergo a Police Check and obtain NDIS Worker Screening clearance
