About the Role
This position is proactive and focused on the technical details to ensure the functionality of the workplace, enabling the Occupant and Guest Experience based on the requirement “works every time”, while maintaining safe working practices. The role oversees the execution of day-to-day technical requirements to support the Workplace team and vendor partners, ensuring compliance to SOPs and SLAs. A key aspect of this role is to work with other service partners such as Security and Dining Services, and with Landlords as relevant, to deliver consistent service to Occupants and Guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist with major works including power-down planning, execution, and project management for new/refurbishment initiatives
- Oversee daily preventive maintenance of all equipment and assume full Engineering Manager responsibilities during their absence
- Monitor daily log books, utility consumption records, and maintain accurate equipment history, inventories, and reports
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for repair/maintenance work while administering quality assurance for outsourced critical works
- Inspect equipment and engineering systems at regular intervals to ensure operational standards and quality of procured goods are maintained
- Provide 24/7 on-call incident management support for corporate real estate buildings and Colocation Data Centers, responding to emergencies promptly
- Ensure operational problems are escalated to Engineering Manager and keep them informed of all departmental activities and incidents
- Produce and manage MOPs (Method of Procedure) and review SOPs/EOPs (Standard/Emergency Operating Procedures) for compliance
- Submit technical reports for portfolio objectives, regular meetings, and Data Center performance metrics
- Govern as-built drawings and OEM documentation while reviewing all maintenance reports to ensure appropriate execution and address performance issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering management experience or Senior Facilities Management experience
- Thorough understanding of building services design and engineering management
- Ability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency/improvements and implement agreed solutions
- Drive innovation / thought leadership / industry knowledge
- Strong analytical, organization and administration skills
- Experience working in Asia Pacific desired, specifically Australia
