About the Role

The Apprentice assists Workshop Technicians with daily operations, including pre-delivery inspections, maintenance, and repairs of elevating work platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with evaluating machine performance
  • Inspect designs and finished products for specification compliance
  • Install, test, repair, and modify electronic and hydraulic equipment
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure machines are in good working order
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on customer and company-owned equipment
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and organization
  • Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies
  • Complete required paperwork and inspection forms per ANZ Standards
  • Assist with three-monthly and annual machine inspections
  • Perform sanding, painting, and general trade assistant duties
  • Execute general ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Commitment to a 4-year apprenticeship program
  • Completion of Cert III in Elevating Work Platforms or Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy
  • Mature and reliable demeanor
  • Mechanically minded with interest in mechanics, electrics, or hydraulics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
