About the Role

We are seeking a product designer who can design, prototype, and ship software that delights users. The ideal candidate will create a cohesive, quiet, and precise product experience, enabling clinicians to spend less time fighting software and more time with patients. This role involves designing directly against real customer requests, managing diverse customer needs across different regions, and owning the connective tissue of the product to ensure consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship features in response to live customer requests, transforming asks into solutions within days.
  • Manage design across multiple customers and countries, determining when local nuances require unique solutions versus core pattern adjustments.
  • Own product design quality, identifying and rectifying inconsistencies before release.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers on design, prototyping, and shipping without handoffs.
  • Gain deep customer understanding to address underlying problems, not just stated requests.
  • Explore and define the look and feel of AI-powered clinical software.
  • Contribute to a design system that supports consistency through components, tokens, and patterns.
  • Address CSS fixes, build prototypes, and open PRs for polish.
  • Share work early, provide constructive critique, and elevate the team's standard of craft.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product design experience, with a focus on shipped/built work.
  • A belief that great products can transform a user's day.
  • A portfolio demonstrating visible craft and emotional resonance.
  • Proficiency in Figma and experience shipping code using tools like Cursor or Claude.
  • A proactive approach to information gathering and a willingness to adapt based on evidence.
  • Ability to manage significant variation in design requirements simultaneously.
  • Passion for AI, demonstrated through hands-on building or prototyping.
  • A preference for building over requesting.
  • Confidence in one's thinking while remaining open to feedback and alternative ideas.
