About the Role

Suno is seeking two Senior Engineering Managers to lead its Product Engineering organization. These roles involve managing Engineering Managers, partnering with product, design, and data science, and shaping both the technical roadmap and the management team. The positions are hands-on leadership opportunities in a fast-paced, music-focused environment, aiming to build applications that enable creative fulfillment for millions of creators.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction across your pillar, setting architecture strategy and ensuring scalable, high-quality systems.
  • Manage and coach a group of Engineering Managers, setting hiring and performance standards, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Partner with senior product, design, and data science leaders to define multi-team roadmaps and ship impactful features.
  • Navigate the full development lifecycle from ideation through launch across multiple teams, managing tradeoffs and removing organizational blockers.
  • Champion engineering craft, including code quality, robust testing, and balancing iteration with maintainability.
  • Represent your pillar in cross-functional planning and leadership discussions.
  • Contribute to Suno's mission by delivering tools and platforms that enable users to create music.

Requirements

  • 7+ years managing software engineering teams in a direct-to-consumer product organization, including managing other engineering managers.
  • Proven track record of shipping impactful consumer products at scale.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to review code, guide architectural decisions, and contribute to the codebase.
  • Experience setting multi-team roadmaps and translating ambiguous problems into clear plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain strong engineering managers and engineers.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating systems at scale in a production environment.
  • Comfort thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
  • Forward-looking perspective on integrating AI and agentic coding into production engineering workflows.
  • A love of music.
  • Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company (Nice-to-Have).
  • Experience at both larger organizations and smaller, high-growth startups (Nice-to-Have).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product development (Nice-to-Have).
  • Working knowledge of Modern web and native mobile technologies, consumer media systems, or real-time systems (Nice-to-Have).
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
