About the Role

eBay, Inc. seeks a Senior Product Manager 1 - Technical to drive the execution of multiple product initiatives in a matrix organization. This role involves managing IT enhancement projects for the value-added services platform, collaborating with engineering teams, and delivering on a category-specific product roadmap to support eBay's focused category growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of multiple product initiatives in a matrix organization.
  • Manage IT enhancement projects for the value-added services platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver on category-specific product roadmap.
  • Direct the work of engineering & design leads, business units, and multiple product & engineering teams.
  • Lead eBay’s product execution for the focused category and its corresponding platform product needs.
  • Build and implement a compelling roadmap supporting eBay category business growth goals.
  • Innovate and reinforce the field of eBay engineering operations, from sprint reviews to definition of done.
  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to ensure product success.
  • Provide regular updates on project status at each checkpoint to ensure the final product is aligned with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze user feedback to identify areas of improvement.
  • Utilize findings to determine technology needs and opportunities for development.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Skills

  • Experience with creating product strategy and vision as a technical leader in large-scale e-commerce and marketplace environments, enhancing both buyer and seller platforms (3 years)
  • Experience with successful track record leading product development in shopping experience (3 years)
  • Experience leading multiple projects from concept to delivery while meeting schedules and budget (3 years)
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies (3 years)
  • Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau (3 years)

  • Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
