About the Role
Stockroom Operations Leads are critical to the success of our stores. As a Stock Lead, you are the primary business owner of the stockroom, overseeing processing, product placement, and transfers. You instill the importance of maintaining a safe and efficient stockroom to ensure product availability for customers. You lead by example to model exceptional stockroom standards and promote a positive and respectful environment. You partner closely with your Store Manager to train and develop stock associates and empower your team members.
Responsibilities
- Maintain stockroom area for receiving, storing, organizing, picking, counting, monitoring, and distributing materials and products.
- Maintain a neat and orderly stockroom and stock desk while promoting safety consciousness and security measures.
- Ensure stock processes and policies are understood and followed by team members.
- Strategically plan for new product arrivals and execute necessary adjustments.
- Receive and verify shipments, handling discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Handle customer charge sends and store transfers of merchandise.
- Control damaged merchandise or mis-mate inventory according to company standards.
- Securely maintain a key to the store.
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding the store’s fiscal business plan by executing sales and productivity plans.
- Replenish and display product on the sales floor according to Visual Merchandising standards.
- Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor, greeting customers, directing them to products, answering questions, and offering product knowledge.
- Be available to customers, identifying and addressing their needs and questions.
- Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude with customers and team members.
- Promote the store and brand image in all interactions.
- Cooperate with the team to meet business needs.
Requirements
- One (1) to two (2) years of retail store experience preferred.
- High School Diploma
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey the Deckers Brands Vision and Mission to team members and customers.
- Excellent team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexibility of schedule and hours to meet the needs of the business.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools and applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
