About the Role

This role leads safety programs for designated sites and promotes a culture of safety across PCSI. You will provide trusted safety guidance to operations leaders, oversee safety compliance, and develop safety training. The position supports risk and injury prevention, incident investigations, and risk correction in collaboration with site leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety functions across designated work sites and support the Corporate Safety & Risk Mitigation team.
  • Partner with site Operations leaders and Safety team members to strengthen safety practices, reduce risk, and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and professional development to assigned safety team members.
  • Collaborate with departments across PCSI to support safety-related needs.
  • Provide guidance on PCSI safety policies, OSHA, EPA, EM 385-1-1, and other applicable safety and environmental standards.
  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies, procedures, and site-specific plans.
  • Prepare or review Accident Prevention Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses/Job Hazard Analyses, Health and Safety Plans, and related safety documentation.
  • Track safety data, compliance activities, OSHA recordkeeping, and performance metrics to identify trends and support proactive improvements.
  • Conduct safety, first aid, environmental, and field inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions.
  • Lead or support investigations of actual and potential incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support injury prevention, medical, and industrial hygiene initiatives in partnership with Operations.
  • Develop, facilitate, and advise on safety training for site leaders and employees.
  • Create and maintain training materials that support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Support safety awareness initiatives, including PCSI SAFE Week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience leading enforcement of a safety program, or equivalent combination of safety-related education and experience.
  • Experience with either General Industry or Construction safety regulations.
  • Experience leading or supporting employees through training and performance feedback.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.
  • May need to have the ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly, up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to travel up 25% of the time, by either ground or air.
  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Skills

  • Knowledge of PC functions and software.
  • Advanced MS Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience required.
  • Ability to create graphs and charts, embed videos and other graphics into reports and presentations.
  • Ability to interpret and write policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute as part of a team.
  • Experience with either General Industry or Construction safety regulations.
  • Experience leading or supporting employees through training and performance feedback.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree, preferably safety-related.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred, OSHA 501 or 500 Certification a plus.
  • Experience working with NFPA and related environmental laws.
  • Experience with EM-385 regulations.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
