About the Role
A Clinical Pharmacist contributes to AHF by expanding primary care functions, including health promotion and disease prevention, such as administering vaccines, managing long-acting HIV treatments, diabetes monitoring, and nicotine reduction programs. This role enhances AHF's reputation by bringing best practices and ensuring consistent application of organizational processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention.
- Administer immunizations.
- Manage diabetes and smoking cessation programs.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) programs.
- Engage in collaborative drug therapy management.
- Prescribe therapies such as PrEP and PEP where authorized.
