About the Role
As the qualitative analyst senior manager at the Centre for Growth, you will play a pivotal role in sparking conversations, ideas, and actions to positively impact the UK's growth and prosperity. You will focus on qualitative research and analysis, driving the research agenda for BCG in London, leading deep dive research, and managing the end-to-end delivery of research outputs.
Responsibilities
- Lead deep dive research on behalf of the Centre for Growth.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of research outputs.
- Bring the best of BCG to external audiences to drive action to boost economic growth.
- Partner with internal or external experts on deep dive research.
- Convene leaders across the public and private sector to drive discussion and action on economic issues.
- Support CEOs, CFOs, and leadership teams in understanding economic outlook implications.
- Leverage BCG's understanding of businesses and macroeconomic trends to connect dots for clients.
- Provide expert and advisory input to client teams on economic topics.
- Support client teams with macroeconomic or policy analysis.
- Provide expert input on the outlook for particular economic sectors.
- Position BCG as the recognized leading voice and perspective in the UK market on key topics, focusing on qualitative underpinning.
- Drive UK growth and advantage by orchestrating breakthroughs in ideas and action.
- Build external and internal networks and partnerships to aid the Centre's impact.
- Expand the Centre's depth and geographic focus to include parts of Europe.
- Represent qualitative research externally and internally to raise BCG's profile and brand.
- Present to external stakeholders on all aspects of the Centre's work.
- Develop high-quality conversations with clients and potential clients on key topics impacting their sectors and the market.
- Help drive the BCG Centre for Growth agenda and profile.
- Lead the end-to-end development of up to 4 priority research topics per year.
- Lead the qualitative aspects of research for priority topics.
- Manage teams driving research on priority topics, overseeing multiple workstreams.
- Own and direct qualitative analysis and research across all Centre workstreams.
- Drive partnerships with BCG practice area teams to leverage the Centre as a platform.
- Identify opportunities to bring new data and insight to clients.
- Develop new products to showcase the Centre's analysis.
- Represent BCG in public conversation and movements through social media, op-eds, and interviews.
- Manage fast-paced workstreams.
- Support the development of internal BCG secondees into the Centre.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in consulting, the civil service, think tanks, academia, or similar roles with a specific qualitative research aspect.
- Proven track record of developing qualitative research methods.
- Experience navigating economic databases and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience researching and authoring analysis on fast-moving topics.
- Experience managing and directing a small team delivering on tight timelines.
