About the Role
As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing various food items through knife/tool cuts in large volume, following all safety and local sanitation guidelines during production.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for production according to recipes/directions.
- Assist with food production, including basic cooking duties like reducing sauces, parboiling food, and making salads.
- Cut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machines.
- Assist in the production of food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events.
- Follow production sheets, portioning, and merchandising details as instructed by management.
- Adhere to all recipes and guidelines while meeting production deadlines.
- Ensure consistent quality on all prepared items.
- Taste all food prepared for the station to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized station.
- Maintain kitchen equipment.
- Follow proper rotation and storage of goods, including labeling, stocking ingredients, and FIFO.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Handlers’ Card (ServSafe) and adhere to local food handler requirements.
- Maintain an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance.
- Consistently perform all duties in a responsible and efficient manner.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.

- Minimum 2+ years prep experience or equivalent job experience.
Education Level
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary Degree (preferred but not required).
Salary/Compensations
- $33.00 per hour
