About the Role
The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of interior and exterior maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties for the community under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and show respect for residents and staff
- Perform routine interior and exterior community and equipment maintenance
- Respond to repair requests and maintenance concerns
- Report equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, and hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain resident privacy and obtain proper authority before entering apartments
- Ensure maintenance items are stored safely to prevent injuries
- Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions
- Coordinate with vendors for services such as landscaping, painting, and asphalt
- Adhere to all safety and OSHA requirements
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
- Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
- Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 80 lbs
- Comfortable working with heights and moving heavy objects
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment and hazardous materials
